We knew it was only a matter of time. I wonder how many 14 and 15 year old girls ended up backstage at these shows WAY over their heads. Tip of the ice burg, its gonna get really ugly I have a feeling
Massive difference between an asshole making a former lovers life miserable and announcing to the world that you were sexually assaulted.
In some ways your very wise to the world. In others NGG, your naïve imho. Just getting attention, is all the 'gaining' people need now (and we have a plethora of ways for them to get it now too).I agree that this is just an accusation. However, when there is absolutely nothing to be gained when a woman speaks out, I tend believe her. And when numerous accusations emerge, the guy is a fuckin animal, no doubt.
I don't think UGLY is a good word for this. But it's close. We knew it was only a matter of time. I wonder how many 14 and 15 year old girls ended up backstage at these shows WAY over their heads. Tip of the ice burg, its gonna get really ugly I have a feeling
And you know all this? And you call me naïve?In some ways your very wise to the world. In others NGG, your naïve imho. Just getting attention, is all the 'gaining' people need now (and we have a plethora of ways for them to get it now too).
There is revenge. This woman may have thrown herself at him back then, and he laughed at her. So, she sees the #meetoo, witchunt mentality going on right now, and decides to get revenge. Can you truthfully say you have never seen a woman hold a grudge?
To avoid repercussions of her choice(s). Woman consents to a bad situation, has parents that she doesn't want angry at her, boyfriend, husband, girlfriend, whatever. So, she says "I was forced".
There is cognitive dissonance. She knows it was a bad choice. She does not want to accept that in herself, boom, he forced me, so no more dissonance.
I can go on and on with scenarios (and all the above HAVE been the motivations behind documented false allegations) with non delusional, non obvious 'benefit' or 'gain'.
The naivety, I postulate, you have, is that you see women as not flawed. But we all are flawed.
I don't follow your question,And you know all this? And you call me naïve? lol
What will this woman gain? She'll be forgotten by tomorrow.I don't follow your question,
I gave you 'reasons' found to be at the bottom of actual false allegations. All of which presented as 'nothing to gain' for the woman making the accusations, yet all false. All, btw, were also national media frenzy stories too.
I'm sure I don't know. It could be the '15 minutes'. That cliché is a cliché, because oh so many people do things all the time for that brief time in the spotlight, and then are forgotten. It could be 'comradery' and acceptance of others, cause that is happening to all the #metoos.. It could be revenge. What will this woman gain? She'll be forgotten by tomorrow.
