So Iv'e been playing my R9 with the Wolfetone pups in it and I decided to change things up. I originally ordered my bridge pup with an A2 magnet mod and I thought it sounded great. Wolfe tossed me an A5 magnet (at no extra charge) to try If I wanted as well. After about 2 months I've finally tried the A5 mag and I'm in love all over again, I mean....That's the sound Iv'e been looking for ! Wolfetone Marshallhead Bridge pickup with the standard A5 mag= A true tone monster ! I love it!

I think his pups are better than most out there.

I really don't know why Wolfe doesn't get the credit he has certainly deserved.

He's been winding longer than anybody else. He and some other few like Jason Lollar were there helping to create a whole new market, the one you know and love; "aftermaket p'ups", "boutique". Whatever you name it, it's there because of him.

Maybe it's his "zero tolerance to BS" attitude that prevents him to reach a broader public.

A salute to the one most honest persons I've known. And he winds p'ups too! ;)

A firm "Rimmer" Salute to you too! (Red Dwarf reference, been watching a lot lately! )
Yeah... right on the money about the BS thing, I think!

When I started, the only other small guys out there that I can think of offhand were Lollar, Fralin, VanZandt, Tom Holmes, and TV Jones. Of course, Bill Lawrence, Joe Barden, and a couple others, but they're so far departed and had already been around so long, I don't know if "boutique" would be the right word.
Jason and I had a LOT, if not everything, to do with jumpstarting boutique boom. We were open with a lot of our knowledge, where others weren't.
[/end tooting]

Chachi, glad to hear there's some new life in the A5 MH. Howsabout some recordings? :hmm:

In my opinion his pickups are among the best!

As an example, Luthier Johan Gustavsson (builder of the Bluesmaster, one of the best guitars in the world JGG - JGGUITARS - Johan Gustavsson Guitars - Bluesmaster) usually puts Wolfetone pickups in his (expensive!) guitars.
Gotta´ be a reason for that :hmm:

I have my first set of Wolfetones coming in my Rist Showhorse which I should have within the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to hear them.

I was suppose to be in the studio this week but the band fell apart so.....That ruined my idea of sending you some tracks from the recording. I will figure something though, and get you a clip or 2.
Thanks again Wolfe, Iv'e never been more proud of my guitar tone !

Wolfe is a great guy. I have talked with him several times and will continue to do so.
