The 1991 LP Standard I currently own + an '80s LP Custom Black Beauty + an '70s or '80s Gibson LP Goldtop + 1957 Reissue LP Blackstop would be my wish-list.

Love a goldtop. I have a tribute studio goldtop darkback, which plays like a dream.... But a light back goldtop with binding is on my bucket list

It's funny how things evolve in your head as to what you want in a guitar. I had a 60's Tribute GT and was hell bent on having my luthier rout the cavities for full PAF's. He convinced me mini humbuckers would be cheaper and easier so I did it. Coveting buckers I bought two more full PAF LP's along the way and had to get rid of one of the three so I sold the Trib. Wouldn't you know it I really missed that mini bucker sound that was originally my second choice compromise and bam just like that it bacame my first choice in a GT which I already had in the Trib duh. Sold my Studio Deluxe (a great guitar BTW) and now I have a Traditional Plus and the Deluxe Goldtop and couldn't be happier.

Here's the Tribute after completion (those are mini buckers from a MLP members 70's tribute and they rocked) and of course my now beloved Traditional/Deluxe combo.

59 les paul with 8.1 k at bridge 7.69 k at neck. double cream bobbins on both pickups, lemon burst plain top, with a good grain. actually a 60 prefer thinner necks myself. My uncle when he was passing away sold his to pay for an operation. would have loved that one, he was supposedly the original buyer

My dream guitar was a Goldtop and during the last holidays I finally bought a GT Deluxe when everyone was blowing out the 2012's.

Being a lefty, and most of the time on a budget, my choices have always been limited.

I already have more than I could ask for - a goldtop Classic and a white Custom. But when I dream about a third LP it's a GT Deluxe just like yours or else a 2012 blue mist LP.

Those two models are still available as leftys at a major online store here in Europe. I look at them at least once a week!

Well since this is all make believe anyway.

LP Custom style:
Figured Cherry (not color, but wood) body 1 piece.
Burl Maple top 1 piece.
Walnut neck with a '08 carve.
Ziricote fingerboard with stainless frets.
Spile square inlay, half mop, half abalone.
Nickle hardware,
Cream plastics, no PG.
Locking grover tuners
And the color would be amber with a really slight green tint.
p90 in the neck and 59 in the bridge.
