Hi,

I've got BB Pros in my 03 Epi, and the grounding is trash. I installed all new pots, switches, resistors ects, and the pups are putting out approx 7.9. The black grnd wire in the cavity, and the ground from the switch all to the CORRECT part of the jack. When I amp up, theres very little sound, until I touch the pots from the stem side, then I get some half-ass, buzzy volume. I grounded the pots per intructions from various sites, and it looks pretty clean. I'm doing this on my iPad, and will try to get pics up, but cant til thurs. Any tips appreciated. Probably something simple, and I'm gonna bite myself. I think i'll try wiring a dedicated ground from all the pots to the jack....

Thanks in advance

Welcome to MLP homie! Two posts in and, you got a cluster F--k going on with some bb pros, ay? I love bb pros, I got them on my 2010 Gibson Standard Plus. You might want to try posting on the section about pickups bro. There are many talented savy pup and tone wizards here on this forum. I'm a mere mortal guitar hobbyist but, like I posted earlier welcome! I believe you are at the right place but, wrong section maybe. Good luck!

hi , a pic of the control cavity would help to see whats going on . Did you ground the braided wire to the back of the volume pots > and the black bridge ground wire gets earthed/grounded to the back f the neck tone pot , cheers

What a difference a day makes. Late lat night I wired the tops of all the pots together, then a direct ground (the THIRD ground wire) to the ground leg on the input jack, and it worked on one pickup. I jiggled, cursed, prayed, killed a chicken, and they both worked at 11 last night. I got up and drove 660 miles today, and havent touched it. I really hope it works tomorrow!! It'll get fresh strings and wax, and I'll play all day. Thanks so much for the welcome, and the advice. This forum is addictive! So are LPs!!!
