I would use braided wire, myself. :D

If you're using the Epi switch though, it might be easier to use the cloth wire, as the terminals on the switch are a bit different than on a standard Gibson switch. If you are switching it out for a standard GIbson-type switch, then braided would be my suggestion.

yes but a truck driver can't read the Title of the thread:lol:

Yes I can. It is 'Wiring help!'. I simply asked what you don't understand about the simple diagram you posted. It is perfectly understandable even to me, and I have very little knowledge of electronics.

Do you have some sort of a secret job where you get paid to ask stupid questions? Obviously you get a bonus for each time you bump your own thread.

For Pete's sake, use speaker wire. It's not gonna make one iota of difference. However, and this is very important, you do have to hold the soldering iron in your left hand and spit on the solder before it sets or you'll never get bukethead tone...

Now this...is a helpful post.

Actually that post gives absolutely no information that could in any way be construed to answer the question. The diagram does not spec a wire covering and the picture shows the wire coming from the switch completely encased in electrical tape, thus preventing any determination as to its cloth covered-ness or braided-ness.

If you're gonna be an ass, at least be right. The correct answer is:

It's not gonna make one iota of difference.
