Wiring Help - Push/Pull vs DPDT

Folks,

I am doing a mod using a CTS push pull versus a DPDT switch, and am having trouble translating the diagram.

In the attached link, which shows the mod using a DPDT switch, which end of the switch translates to the top (closest to the pot/shaft) of the push/pull pot and which is the bottom?

In other words, is the black wire bridge shown in the diagram at the top (closest to the pot/shaft) or the bottom of the push/pull "six pack" on a CTS switch?

Assuming you would like to pull the switch out to get the direct connection bypassing the vol pot, the lower side of the switch as drawn; with the black wire, wohld be facing the body of the pot.
