Not much business Friday, should have closed yesterday, closed today, closed tomorrow. Valentine’s weekend down the drain.

Trees dropping like flies from ice weight

All kinds of semi’s stranded on I-10

We don’t do winter well here.

Here’s what my Austin daughter is fixing to lose. Lot of work!

Oh, man. Wow... so sorry to see that. Hopefully, spring will arrive soon for you (and us all) and the weather will bring out hordes of people to your place!!!!

We're one shot away (March 3) from getting out on the road. TX is on our agenda. Looking forward to bringing my wife there for dinner.

I've lost several large tree branches due to all that ice. it's going to be as cold in texas tonight as it is here at engineer mountain. luckily I have a house and dog sitter while I'm up here to keep a drip on the pipes. the next two nights down there are going to be record breaking cold. this at my farm in the middle of texas. its insane.

Sorry to hear about that pops. Lots of tree branches down, and power outages. We don't have this type of weather often so the trees aren't trimmed properly.

Guilty as charged. Got a huge iced pecan out back. Wind is picking up. It’s making some freaky noises.

I have a really big live oak out back. I have Davey Tree take care of it every year and it's doing well so far.

You guys down south are getting hammered worse than up here in Maine.

It’s really not that bad, we’re just not equipped for it. Infrastructure isn’t built for ice, snow and sustained freezing temps. Houses aren’t built for it, not insulated for it, etc.

My brother out it far west Texas has a heat pump...it stopped “pumping” any sort of heat yesterday.

On the bright side, gas stove still works and we have a French press. I never thought I’d ever say this, but thank God for the French!
