What's wrong with Wine Red LP Customs?
I don't have one and wish I did. That's what.

For me, it's about seeing the wood. That's the sole reason I have a Wine and Honey Burst Custom.
Solid colours hide that maple top goodness IMO.
Old man's colour. Simple. Pipe and slippers guitar.![]()
IBlack Customs are for show offs and poseurs, all flash, big hair, stroppiness and car crash chords, players who totally believe they are better than they are and boy are they happy to believe it!![]()
In my experience any player sporting a white custom is expected to be better than they actually are and the audience are generally left disappointed. That's why I flogged mine, couldn't take the apathy. You buy a wine red if you don't want to be noticed!![]()
Looking at the sales figures I realized the Black customs are the most expensive whilst the Red Wine ones are sometimes really cheap.
Same guitar, age, just a different color.
A good example would be this listing which ended recently, being a descent looking 1981 Wine Red LPC, gone for $1,850. The same year/condition in black would be at least $600 more.
