Why worry about your gear being stolen?

As for me, I have the best security system known to man. All my neighbours are retired nosy bastards. Nice people, but nosy. I suppose they're not used to having a gaijin in their midst.

I thought about that, and I think I'm bummed out about it, but I really don't think anybody would give a shit about a video of some old dude spanking his monkey in the kitchen. So, **** it, if it gets out, well, I seriously doubt I'm ever gonna run for public office, so why do I care?

So you know who did it so you get your gear back, then beat the sh!t out of him hopefully before he goes to jail, (police report, (which is public records), you would have all his information to INCLUDE where he lives so later you can make his life miserable by following him everywhere he went to include the nights on the town and beat him every chance you get), or while he is in jail, you become friends with someone who has a loved on in the same jail, and pay them a little money, (like $25-$50) bucks a week to let Bubba make his life hard for him turn him into a little trick while beating the sh!t out of him!

That is sorta what I would do, (but I don't think I will have any problems because I got video survielence, someone is here 24/7s, plus my dog will rip someone to shreds), but if I was a victim I would put a little more emphasis on what I would REALLY do, but I can't mention it here because there may be minors on this forum, plus it would be very violent and cruel to some people to go into detail!

I hate thieves and I believe they shouldn't exist! The one rule in 3rd world countries and we should follow but we can't, because people say it is inhumane but you don't see many thieves in 3rd world countries, because they are either left with 1 hand or dead!

If cameras stopped crime then banks wouldn't get robbed and stores wouldn't lose merchandise.

If you got hit, would you want your gear back and know who took it or would you just rather be at a loss of the unknown and never see your gear again?

If any of my stuff were stolen, my insurance would cover it. Why worry so much about your gear being stolen that you install cameras? Seems overkill unless you are at high risk of being robbed.

If insurance is the answer, then why bother to lock your doors or pull the keys out of your vehicles?

I am well-insured against loss - a loss that is unavoidable.
Never used it in 35 years because I keep my home and vehicles SECURE.
(Methodology discussed plenty over the last 8 years...)

Call me silly, but isn't the idea behind insurance basically a compensation agreement if your best efforts fail?
Failing to make an effort to protect insured possessions is fraud - or unethical at the very least.
