I'm like...all...distracted...and stuff. Can't.......think.................

Wow.

I mean: I've never seen a 10 minute long GIF before!

It must be some kind of new technology. I'm for it, too.

Front desk!

I, for one, am not tired of discussing the issue. I am, however, exceedingly bored with being preached to and, to be perfectly honest, reacting to that in ways of which I'm not entirely proud, even if I'm fully justified in doing so. ;)

ETA: Holy shit! IBTL!

Yeah. Big supporter of gun rights, but I'm sick to death of these threads.

Yeah. Tell the Sandy Hook Elementry School parents we need AR's.

Are they the only ones who have violently lost loved ones? Are they the only ones who get to have a say on the issue?

I see where this is going. We should stick to talking about guitars.

Isn't there a no politics rule?

I see you're new here. :laugh2:

To answer your question, though...yes and no. :dunno:

This isn't necessarily a political issue. It's a social issue. But it's also a polarizing one, and I don't think too many people really change their position on guns because of these threads.

"Polarizing" is an understatement. I've had to forbid discussion of the issue in my home when anyone but myself and Riverette are in it.

It's not just threads that fail to change anyone's mind.

I learned to shoot pistols from my grandpa, rifles from my dad, and shotguns from my uncle (California junior state trap shooting champion). Later on I qualified expert in the Army and their automatics at the time (M16, M60, M2, SAW). I've been very comfortable around all kinds of guns my whole life. I don't personally carry a sidearm, but I have zero problems with anybody that legally does.
