Hello my friends, i´m a new member of this forum.

I´m from South America :)

Well, my question: why the difference between my Epiphone Les Paul Custom and others?
The logo "Epiphone" on the headstock is different (it´s straight) and the body is more round.

Made in Korea 1995.

I have a 2011 Epi LP Custom made in China-
I would say the differences are because of the year model and where it was made-I had a Korean made back in the early 90's-great guitar-I think the older Korean made have better pups, wiring, pots ect. I gutted mine and had a 50's MSP wiring mod installed and Sheptone PAF pups-sounds awesome now.
If you like how yours plays, sounds and feels, that's all that matters bro.

I don't wish to worry you unduly but the control knobs on your guitar don't look right. It may be the angle of the picture but they look as if they're not aligned properly. They also don't look right for a mid-90s Korean guitar.

Can you post a dead straight-on picture of the body please? Also, close-up pictures of the front and back of the headstock and a side-on picture of where the headstock meets the first fret, showing how far the headstock binding extends into the first fret?

When I said dead straight-on picture of the body, I meant like this:

And a pic of the back of the headstock?

I'm going to stick my head out and risk it being shot off.

I'm dubious about that guitar. The logo being straight is correct for an early to mid 90s Korean (I think they started to slope them sometime during 96 to 97) and the dodgy headstock inlay with uneven gaps is about normal but...

The headstock binding is too fat (looking at the front - the sides look right).

The knobs are too close together.

The horn looks too rounded. I've seen them vary but I've never seen one like that before.

The truss rod cover is wrong. It's too long. The size did vary depending upon the factory but I've never seen one that long before.

But of course that all just what I think.

PS. Why have the knobs changed between the first and last picture? The last one is at least the right knobs.

I agree, It ain't right. Something is not right starting with the truss rod cover, the logo, the dials placement, the horn and the body. I think you probably have a copy or counterfit. I'm no pro though but looks different than typical.

You guys are seriously being too harsh.

The dials are that are the same as on that trans-amber one that other guy just posted.

Poor guy just walked into a witch hunt with a broomstick.

The TR cover is FINE. Straight epi logo is FINE.

Horn curve is FINE. The binding is FINE.

The knobs are FINE.

You have to realize that NO two guitars will be exactly identical.

In my opinion, if you're happy, that's all that matters.Someone will come along before long and give you more advice. We have an 08 laying around but I don't think we can compare the two because of the age difference. Why? I don't know. Seems they'd be built the same from whatever year and factory.

The Custom Pearl Inlay in the Headstock looks uneven, it goes into the truss rod cover, even though the cover may not be original. It just looks different. Not saying fake but there are many fakes out!

Has anyone ever seen a known genuine black EPI custom with 4 white and 3 black stripes on the headstock binding? I've never seen one. Every one I've ever seen has 3 white and 2 black.

Anyone seen a TRC that has the top screw above the bottom machine heads? Every single one I've seen it's either level with the centre or below them.

As a general rule: if it looks fake, then it's fake.

This might as well been put together by me, while in a coma:

Sorry Joselo, but If I were in your place right now, I'd contact the Epiphone and the seller, to try and get an official confirmation in order to get my money back.
