On FB and I get this video from an Allman brothers group.....might have been the big house?

At around 3 minutes Warren Haynes is just Killing it. That LP he used throughout the 90's that Tobacco SB is my alltime favorite. It just disappeared in 99' when the Gibson Custom Shop started force feeding him guitars. Never saw or heard of it again. :wtf:

Anyhow.......So I share the Video and I dont get 1 like. No one gets it. I saw a friend at work and hes like: I liked that video you posted. And I was like really? You dig the Allman brothers!? And he was like......thats who it was? I thought it was Eric Clapton. I'm like NO.....That was Warren Haynes and Dickey Betts! He's like.......I thought you said it was Gregg Allman? Doesn't he play guitar in the Allman band? :dunno: So I just walk away and SIGH.

I dont have any siblings. My best friend still lives back in New Jersey. I talk to him but not the same. My Boys are teenagers now and unless my conversation has college Basketball in it I'm not getting far...........I have some couple friends we go to dinner with.......blah blah blah........but nobody gets music like we do. I have a 3000 CD record collection and no one to listen to it with.

I know there are a few here that still hate me. Alot more dont .........but all you guys GET IT. You understand why you must change out the tail piece on a good SG to a lightweight Tone Pro or other. You get why The new Tyson Tone Labs PAF I just bought are so much better then stock ones. You understand why The big Brown truck rolling up is a major cool event...........Oh......and that David Crosby thread the other day was the funniest shit I've seen in a long while and believe me I need to laugh!!!!

I love you My LP Forum...........Thanks for putting up with me. :h5::love:

I have a few fellow music gear heads IRL I can talk to. Oddly, one of the best players in town isn't the least bit interested in how guitars or amps work. He has everything done by a tech. He did fix a pickup with a piece of tape until he got the screw replaced.

I have a Goto Aluminum TP on a 2010 Gibson LP Tribute, the guitar felt a little dull ?

But I'd swear the Aluminum TP and upgraded saddles brought a little life back to it.

To me most SG's seem a touch snappy already, thats why I'd leave a denser bridge and TP on 'em....

back to the thread title . I've seen many p;ayers do some incredible things with an LP . I'm going to name Joe Walsh as one of my favorites

but besides what everyone else is doing with them __ I just can't get along with them . the weight mainly . I play / practice standing up . and I like to move around . I got rid of mine after a few months , because it's just so much more fun to play a lighter guitar
