Cool, Ray! Needs more cowbell, though. :naughty:

One of my most recent recordings: SoundClick artist: River Bottom Blues Band - page with MP3 music downloads
as always, thanks for the listen

with regard to "Needs more cowbell" – i am restricted to only 18 watts RMS to be in compliance with the FCC's Regulation of operating within the 17.7-17.8 GHz and 17.8-19.7 GHz band widths

i don't make the rules :~(

thank you for the opportunity to listen to "Happy Hippie" – i could smell the Sandalwood and Patchouli oil wafting from my speakers... it was "Groovy, man"

i really liked the way the second guitar punched/accented the chord on the one beat

also, doubling the guitars was a clever way of doing more with less, that is, the use of layering

sounded like real drumming, is that possible?

around 0:51, when the second guitar comes in, it was an efficient way of muscling the riff without hi-jacking the empty spaces allowing plenty of air within the song

i cannot explain why, however, my ear kept listening for George Harrison's singing to come in! can you explain that? i sure cannot, haha - sounded good in my head with George doing the vocals

i think from a song writing perspective, your choice to bring in a tease wherein the riff does not quite resolve itself immediately on the out-tro around 1:39 is very effective...

overall, shows signs of growth as a player, songwriter and arranger, and if anyone collaborated with you, i extend the compliment to them as well

also, an effective example of good tone with little signal processing

my only suggestion:

Well if the river bottom blues band was a whiskey
Now I was a diving duck
Well if the river bottom blues band was a whiskey
Now I was a diving duck
Well I would dive to the bottom
I swear I would never come up
(Muddy Waters)

If I had a proper video camera, I'd be all over it! Not to mention that I live in an apartment, so the only way I could record is with my rig connected to my PC, which is a complete PITA.

I will eventually get around to it, but for the time being, you'll just have to settle for sound clips...when I get around to it!:thumb:

in order to celebrate the one year anniversary of making my one and only video clip, here is a playback...

Gibson Les Paul Standard
Sheptone "Custom Jimmy Page PAFs"
Tonemojo 21-tone wiring harness with push-pull pots
Marshall 1974X (18 watt) "mini-bluesbreaker" Handwired Series reissue combo
effects used:
MXR Carbon Copy analog delay
Seymour Duncan PickUp Booster
Smoke & Mirrors with a hint of Volcanic Ash
Nice! You still have the moves as well as the chops! :applause:

Cuz I suck!!! NOT in the good way, either :laugh2:
That's my excuse too. :laugh2:

I can sort of understand the 'putting yourself out there' mentality, but nothing of mine is going anywhere near the internet until I've achieved some vague level of competency.
