At first I joined to help validate that an Epi SG Custom that I had was real. Thanks to knowledge I gained here I jumped all over an Epi Elite a couple days ago and I could not be happier with the guitar or the bargain I got. Seems like a very friendly place and I have not seen too much of the usual crap that goes on at other forums. THANKS MLP!:thumb:

Once I bought my first Les Paul, I was searching around for different advice and knowledge about the guitar and stumbled upon this site first. I am not the most tech savvy person when in comes to guitars either, so I figured that I'd join up and hopefully learn more about the guitar and it's inner workings. Plus I love to look at pictures and hear stories about these amazing instruments.

I joined because I saw a thread on CT luthiers and wanted to contribute.
I would like to own a Les Paul but I currently own an Ibanez RG 1420.
The LPs I was looking at were over 3500 dollars.
Too much for my pocket.
Some day I'll own one.
regards
Richard

I joined to find a community of musicians caught up in the rapture of oneness, but trolling and stalking are fun, too .

Hello Guys,

From Pakistan / Staying & working in Dubai (UAE)

Played, acoustic(beginner/intermediate level) n quit like 2 years back and now planning to get an electric (will be my first). In love with LP :D

I was fiddling around the internet for reviews on Epiphone Les Paul Standard, and found this forum and the FAKE LP thread, that certainly opened my eyes and yes this forum has a lot concrete factual info which helped me in knowing the anatomy of EPI Originals & fakes (still struggling to know more)

Most certainly, i will get the experts opinion before i buy one for my self.

I do need few clarifications on the criteria that reflects to spot FAKE & ORIGINAL & would bug the experts too, later.

Any ways, love the site and the information provided by the users here.

I had to register here coz i was unable to view the pictures of Fakes & Real hehehe :)

Thanks a lot for the efforts and information you all have shared with us.

and the Traditional ...
I still can't decide between those 3 series... so, this Weekend, I'm driving to a GC (Basel, CH) and I'm going to check out all of them ...:applause: Can't wait :D

I owned Fenders, more Fenders and a couple of Fenders. Then years ago I aquired a battered Hondo LP. It was awesome, but poor quality. Well, I painted it, sanded it, modded it, messed about with it, then one day the strap button broke...and I dropped it. The neck broke. I then reverted back to Fenders, a Strat, a Tele etc, but in the back of my mind (being a massive Zakk Wylde and GNR fan) I always wanted a real LP. Then, last week I got the opportunity to purchase a 2003 Epiphone Les Paul Classic Quilt Top in Blue..... and I had to have it. I've just installed a set of EMG ZW pups and pots, and I wanted to share my JOY at now being in the 'LP' Club, and also seek out tips on setting up my new axe, getting the best from it, and sharing my new-found entheusiasm.

I've loved Les Pauls all my life. I joined here to hang with those who love them too.
AND I'm tired of other forums with overly sensitive folks who get so butthurt over un-popular opinions.
