simply because i love lp's:thumb: and tbh i though it was going to be alot of jumped up people thinking they were better than everybody.

how wrong i was. instead it was people who all have a common intrest, passing on a welth of infomation. and im sure in the belife that 1 more guitar player would make a better world :applause:

Why? Probably because this is the place where I can get all my LP related question answered. I love having people with the same common interests (like the person above me stated) People can share some tips and tricks with guitars, amps, or anything involving these things.

Aside from that, it's a great community. I love these forums. :)

I was searching via Google for info on a couple Les Pauls up for auction on eBay. I'm not ashamed to say one of 'em was a Slash Signature. This site kept coming up repeatedly whenever I searched about different guitars so I checked it out and compared it to others.

I wasn't looking specifically for a Les Paul site, but this one doesn't seem to have caught the ghey like so many others, so here I be.

I joined pretty recently cuz I was lookin fer a Sonex Custom and MLPF popped up with an alert that a member was sellin one. Turns out it wasn't a custom but it was a silverburst and 2 members had come to an agreement literally minutes before I joined.
Had 2 early 80's era LP customs in past (one powder pink, the other black with a stock kahler). The pink one "walked away" while we were all humpin our gear in the rain during an outdoor gig and I sold the black one cuz I never bonded with it.
Now I'm here, I'm new, and gettin comfy.
Any advice? Cool threads I should know about?

I joined because, for me, the Gibson Les Paul is the guitar that I get along with best.

I joined for the sole purpose of advice on asthetic modifications to turn my Epi LP100 into something that looks more like a standard. I've yet to get much decent advice, but this forum still rocks!

I
don't
understand
internet forums.
I thought that people
joined them to find out stuff
about the forum topic (Les Paul guitars here.....).
And I thought that, like me, a few hung around for a chinwag afterwards.

Seems they are populated by vendors, advertisers and sociopaths with
agendas and insecurities who need to agrandise themselves
at the expense of others by putting them down
and fabricating idiotic personas for
themselves. Why can't they
just be themselves?
I am totally
out of my
depth.
