I recently got back into guitar playing after a long break (disappointed hopes and all that) and become fascinated by the history of electric guitars. My family's bought me an Epiphone Lemon Burst which is probably the most beautiful thing I own and, unlike the other Les Paul forum, this one has a place for Epiphones.

I'm new here (first post), I have a small collection of Gibsons which makes me search for to interact with people with same hobby as I have.

My Gibson collection currently has:
- Les Paul Custom 2021 VOS
- Les Paul Adam Jones Standard
- Flying V Custom
- 1958 Explorer Korina Reissue

I think I missed this thread. Also holy crap I've been a member here for 3 years..

I joined to post about my LP journey, offer not only opinions about gear but *clips to go with them*. Some members are also regulars of other haunts, so it's fun to recognize some names.

Why am I still here? More to learn.

I may have replied several pages ago, but I had a Les Paul, and a Les Paul copy.
I took a break for a few years, came back after I got an Epi LP Special

!st guitar is a LP Style, wanted to learn more, hear other's experiences, maybe pass on to another what I had learned or figured out. Community exchange pretty much. Also joined sister sites for Strats & Teles, even an acoustic & bass guitars for those forums knowledge base.

I honestly can’t recall when I joined, but it was probably when I needed some info on a knockoff I was getting or considered getting.
My first LPesque guitar was my 2nd electric EVER—an Ibanez Artist—hence the username.

Fast forward some decades to when I no longer have my Ibanez, but decided to try going the LP Jr route. Copped an Orville LPJ from Reverb, but quickly eliminated it because the fit wasn’t right. Soon thereafter jumped on an Eastman DC for a steal. The Eastman WAS a better fit, although I ultimately put it on consignment at the neighborhood shop because I just wasn’t very moved by that one either.

But when I saw that Gibson USA was selling LPJ for 1600 and that they now came in dark walnut, I realized my search was probably over. If this didn’t work for me or my Spirit, I wasn’t meant to have one. It arrived this week, looking beautiful and here we are.
