Who Is Your Favorite Rhythm Guitarist?

My favorites are James Hetfield, Dave Mustaine, and Izzy Stradlin. There are probably a lot more but these are the ones that I just thought of.

I used to think that the lead guitarist is the coolest. That was until I actually saw a video of Metallica and James Hetfield is just playing these complex riffs while singing. Everybody always talk about Kirk and I do like how he plays and a lot of my favorite solos are from Kirk but James is the backbone of the band and he makes it cool to be a rhythm guitarist. Because of James I feel like I don't have to be the only one playing solos.

So who are your favorite rhythm guitarists?

I had a similar experience. I was all bummed out that I'd never be the next EVH when my brother puts on the Ride the Lightning tape. That changed everything for me.
