it's a fun scooter, they are all over the burbs these days, even now that it's turning cold.

At Sonoma, I passed a BMW S1000RR on the inside coming out of the carousel. We're both pinned trying to get the line for T7, and the fucker hits me in the leg with his front wheel at over 100mph. Damn near ripped the slider off my leathers.....

Currently, the FZ-10 in this thread....

BTW...that guy behind me is the one who ran into my leg. We had a chat.

At Laguna Seca, they have a 90db noise limit. My bike has an aftermarket exhaust and re-map so I use my wife's FZ-09 at that track.

Past track bikes:
08 R6
05 GSX-R1000
07 CBR600RR
00 R6
98 R1

Funny, I just watched this video, as an Africa Twin is one of the bikes I'm looking at lol
I was looking at them as well. Check out the Yamaha Tenere 700 while you are at it. I've test rode a few of them, they are awesome. Trying to get my wife to buy one.

I love bikes!

Appreciate the machinery and technical aspects, even though I’m just on a pedal bike now.

Never had a Ducati. Want!

Oh well…

I will
I'm not sure exactly what I want though, as I'm super intrigued by an Indian Scout Rogue.

Know nothing about them.

Neighbor takes his Yamaha out for a ride every evening and it looks like fun so I got an itch and started researching the past few months.

I like the Honda Rebel series. (300, 500, 1100)

If they put their DCT auto gears on the 300 and 500 I might open the wallet someday.

I had this when I lived in CA... rode the shit out of it. When I moved back here, I sold it. Too many fuckwits on the road, and I turned into a pussy... wanted to live and watch my kids grow up.

I sold my Harley last year.

Last week while running around for work, I had 9 cars run a red in one day. I'm still freaked out by it and I was in Ram 3500 dually.

People are getting more and more fuckin' nutz!

Please be careful out there. Double and triple check every intersection.

I know, I know, you've been riding for all your life...blah blah.....so have I.

Just be more careful than ever. Saw a bunch of bikes out today and I truly miss it.

Just PLEASE be safe. :)

Peace!

So, nine years ago, at the juvenile age of 70, I decided I wanted to have and ride a motorcycle. Here in CO, I needed to take an educational course to get a license to ride one. There was a written test, on which I scored 100. And a riding test which I flunked. I found that age had deprived me of the physical coordination needed to ride properly. Needless to say, my wife was so happy that I flunked! But the course thought me to actually see and to regard bikers on the road, and to regard their safety. So the course was time and money well spent, IMHO. So I am confined to a couple of open air four wheelers — a Honda S 2000 and a Mercedes SLK 280. But when driving these or anything else, I see and watch out for bikers. And wish I could be one of them. But, you know, old age is a bitch!

In my high school days, long ago, a friend had an1949 Indian bike. I wanted to buy it but couldn’t raise the $. I think he wanted like $150! Wish I had that today, but I couldn’t ride it now. See post #74 above.
