Which would you rather have?

With all else being equal, would you rather have an original 50's LP with modern electronics (Burstbucker 1 and 2, and stock pots/caps, etc.) or a current 50's Historic with original 50's electronics (PAFs, bumblebees, etc)? I'm asking this for tone purposes only, so leave out the resale, colectability, etc. aspects. Curious what you guys would take.

Um... original, considering how much cheaper it would be to swap in new electronics than swap in a new burst.

Having had a MAX with modern repro hardware and electronics, I can say that the wood and construction matters most. I would take the vintage 59 Les Paul and modern electronics over a Historic with vintage PAFs and electronics any day.
