If you like Muffs, you'll want to check out the Blackout Effectors Musket fuzz - totally tweakable Muff clone/enhancement.

Watched a video and it sounds great and it looks very versatile but its a little out of my price range.

Every pedal I have been seeing is super expensive. But lets say I don't know anything about electronics and I want to learn and build my own pedal. Does anyone know step by step how to do it and what i need?

Go to one of these sites:

BYOC - The World's Finest DIY Guitar Effects Kits

DIYstompboxes.com - Index

Lots of info and helpful people too. Especially at BYOC and DIYStomp. I got my start hanging around at the BYOC forum. You can get one of their kits to start with if you want. you can also check out this manual:

Art of Electronics

There are some of us here that are familiar with building also. You can also PM me if you want. I had no electronics experience when I started building. I still have no clue what I'm doing. :laugh2: :D

Univox Superfuzz if you've got $400-$500 to spend on a pedal, otherwise $200 for the Wattson clone. Best fuzz on Earth.

If you want a Big Muff Pi, try getting a BYOC Large Beaver; I really love mine. It has a couple of extra features, like a tone stack bypass, and I definitely think it sounds better than the new Big Muffs. I haven't actually played a vintage one, though.

If you want more of a straight up Fuzz Face, I HIGHLY recommend the MJM London Fuzz. I have both the Germanium and Silicon versions and I like the Germanium best, but they're both incredible pedals with a tighter low end than most fuzzes. I really can't imagine a better straight-up Fuzz Face type pedal than the London Fuzz. They both respond incredibly well to picking dynamics and your guitar's volume pedal.
