I'm planning to have the body of my '64 Strat refinished fairly soon and am curious to get some opinions from this section of the forum as to which color you would go with. I have my own favorite, so it's not like I'm just going to pick the winner of the poll, but if I had done the refin a couple of years ago, I probably would have picked something different than what I'll likely go with now. I thought this might be a good way to see if anything jumps out at me that for some reason I hadn't given proper consideration. Sort of an online version of thinking out loud.
Based on the thread that @Bill Hicklin created a couple of years ago, I have a feeling I know which way this will go, but everybody loves a good poll. Apparently, there's a maximum of 10 options for polls here, so I'll list my favorites in order from my current favorite to tenth favorite. I had planned to list them all, plus "something non-traditional" and "R.A.," but oh well.
The guitar in question has a dark Brazilian rosewood laminated fretboard with clay dots. I have a nice repro mint green guard for it that I'll put on once the work is done, but it currently has a '65-'67 parchment one. The body was refinished in a pretty thick poly in the '80s and I've always sort of wanted to get a better job done.
Thanks for humoring me!
