Whether to restore '59 Jr (has humbucker routing)

I would only ever restore a guitar that had some serious issues.. your has a very small almost invisible issue. It's a 59... mostly original... and it rocks.

I have a 73 Burny of that same guitar, I thought about a renovation when I got it, in the end I just did a really good cleaning and it looks great.

I'd leave it as it is..original with mojo.

I keep looking for a routed Jr or melody maker so I can rock it with a humbucker and not feel guilty because someone else already did the damage. I dig it

Leave it alone. Use the money to start a fund for another guitar. Even another '59 Jr without routed cavity.
