I thought the beer summit fixed all the racial problems.

"And with one graceful move, he healed the nation's festering wound by pouring the liquid ambrosia into the sparkly glass..."

Man, I'm feeling that tickle up my leg again... :naughty:

:hmm:

They didn't have to steal anything. The gubmint prints, borrows, and hands it over as bailouts/stimulus.

A responsible gubmint would have let them wither on the vine from their own actions, so the taxpayers don't have to bailout said gubmint.

The Banks were stealing hand over fist before any crash or bailout.

What, you mean we should be upset about some white guy that gets robbed and beaten up by a bunch of inner city assholes? Nothing to see here, move along. And if you keep drawing attention to it, you must be a racist. After all, they've been oppressed and you just don't understand the "culture". It's a shame.

You've gotta be kidding man. I would say thats enough to warrant someone being upset. Why would anyone NEED to understand the culture? As if that's gonna somehow justify the act of violence? A man was attacked for no reason robbed and stripped of his clothes...period. You need to leave race out of it completely.

Yep, you'd think it would get old after a while.

They are even trying to start up over on the "Why not oil your fret board more often?" thread I started, looking for good advice.

But, we keep following it, 'cause it is like a car wreck...you don't want to look, but you just can't stop yourself form doing it.

So...

Did you lurk here for years or is this just a new user name? Feb 2012?

Got any sources for your claims? Nope. Thought you didn't. What we have here is a typical back-peddler trying to twist a statement in his favor, due to his failed argument.

:applause::applause::applause:

There would be more there to applaud you but they're to busy "complaining and breaking stuff"

Anybody remeber Reginold Denny the truck driver that was pulled from his ruck and beat to a pulp. That was ok but a crackhead rodney king was awarded millions.

King was awarded millions because he was beaten by agents of the state, Denny was not.

Do you recall what the punishment was for the thugs? Does a slap on the wrist sound familiar? What they did was attempted murder and they walked because the "powers that be" felt it would cause more rioting if the perps got what they deserved. Where is there any justice in that?

This is not true.

One plead guilty to robbery and assault and got three years.

The others face charges ranging from attempted murder to assault to aggravated mayhem as well as some more minor charges. They were prosecuted on these charges but the trial ended in a hung jury on all charges except for some of the minor ones. Despite the findings of guilt being for lesser charges one of them was sentenced to ten years (he was released early and later jailed for life for killing a drug dealer).

So while you are right that justice was definitely not served in that case, it had nothing to do with the 'powers that be' and everything to do with a jury of twelve average citizens.

The Banks were stealing hand over fist before any crash or bailout.

So why are they not investigated and prisoned?

IMO, the bank bailouts were a sign of complicity on the part of .gov in the mortgage mess via the CRA. Had those bailouts not happened, I see it more as the banks were acting on their own greed and self-interest and Congress was taking the matter as a serious problem that needs to be investigated.

Humpty Dumpty was pushed.

Holder: Attorney General Vows Thorough Review In Trayvon Martin Case « CBS DC

WASHINGTON (AP) - Attorney General Eric Holder said Wednesday that the Justice Department will take appropriate action in the killing of Trayvon Martin if it finds evidence that a federal criminal civil rights crime has been committed.
The attorney general made the comments in an appearance before a civil rights organization founded by the Rev. Al Sharpton.
Previously, Holder dropped the case for voter intimidation by the New Black Panthers in Philly during the 2008 election.

Meanwhile, following the $10K bounty placed on Zimmerman's head by the NBPP:

I might have had a nontypical experience, but I often hung out "On the streets" of Toronto early in the AM, sometimes walked great distances. I never once felt unsafe or threatened by anyone. :)

Yeah that's what I mean - I would go anywhere in the city at any time of day or night.

I'm pretty sure he's using sarcasm there, Chief.

What we have here is a typical back-peddler [...]

No, he's not selling any backs, I did get a good side of ribs and some pickled hog's feet from him, though.

I lived at one time in the Jane & Finch area of Toronto. Just walking to the corner store I always felt like a virgin at the prison rodeo. Thank God I'm not pretty!

I was out with a couple of old roommates one day and we headed from Waterloo into Toronto because one of them wanted to look at a bass boat he was thinking of buying. They are both hicks from down Lake Erie way but I grew up in Brampton so I know the city. The quickest way to get where we were going was to cut through the Jane & Finch area. We stopped at a McDonald's and were sitting out in the pickup truck eating our meals with country music playing loudly through the stereo. At one point one of the two looks at me and says "When are we going through that Jane & Finch area? I want to see what everyone says is Toronto's 'hood." My response was "You're sitting about a block away from the intersection of Jane & Finch right now." Neither of them could believe that this was considered one of the worst areas in Toronto. They were laughing their asses off that it has such a bad reputation. Their assessment was that, while white faces were definitely in the minority, the area wasn't at all frightening nor would it rank as a hood in any major American city.

Instead of focusing on misleading negative statistics, how about discussing the positive outcomes of diversity in the United States. It has been recognized by researchers in economics that the more diverse a population is within a positive framework, the higher the productivity and more prosperous that region is.

I wonder where JerseyJetsFan is right now? And who was the other one?

I thought we already agreed Holder is a moron. As for Zimmerman, he better go hide somewhere. I don't want anything to happen to him, BUT wasn't he a big bad tough guy not long ago? Seems to me a real bad ass mofo would welcome a good fight. Or is he only good against unarmed kids and women???? Ahhh fvck him. He's a pussy. A stupid one at that.
