I've run to the end of Black Mesa, but yeah I ain't doing that kinda stuff ... and that'd be like a plane crash ... passenger: How many times do planes crash? ...Stewardess: Just once.

At the end of Black Mesa ... heck, I wouldn't even get very close to the edge.
