White and Black.

My best friends '07 in White and a '78 in Black.

EDIT. I've only owned one Custom. It was an early 80's Tobacco Burst. A friend traded it to me for my '83 Strat Elite.
The Custom sounded good but , I simply prefer Standards.

Sunrise Tea Burst, a little Sunlight makes a big difference.

For me any burst between Cherry and Lemon is my favorite, even iguana and ocean water are high on the list, they just don't fit the color scheme of my room.

my favorite is white, it's always been a dream guitar of mine. If I ever got one I'd like it to be new, all fresh and ready for me to yellow over years of rocking.

If I got a black I'd like a used one, maybe a 88 or 89, they look nicer the more worn in they look.

DJ Ashba has a black one that was used on the black album, looks so sweet

I think you are mistaking 'Les Paul Custom' for 'Custom' shop Les Paul...

In no particular order, my favorite LP Custom finishes are: natural, wine red, and tobacco burst (especially the early/mid 80's style tobacco burst finishes). :thumb:

An ebony LP Custom certainly gets an honorable mention as it is considered the holy grail, IMHO, from the late 50's LP's and just can not be overlooked. It don't get any more classic than an ebony LP Custom. :dude:

It was designed to be the 'tuxedo of guitars' and therefore the correct answer is:

I absolutely fell in LOVE with the Custom Silverburst... and that's why I bought one. Today it's still my favorite Custom finish. :applause:

If I were to plunk down the cash for a second Custom, I'd probably go Cobra Burst, or Fire Tiger.

Yellowed White, or dull black myself!
I really can't stand the pristine look of custom, but dull black, with worn hardwares...
That's a beauty right there!!!!

(Also, wine reds are really nice imo)

This is it Baby! It was such a cool color, I BOUGHT it! Ever since I saw Brian Setzer playing his Orange Flame Gretsch, I wanted a similar Les Paul, and when I saw it, I knew that Gibson did it RIGHT!
