I bought a 1962 fender precision bass in 1980 for £90, that's about $140 i still have it but it does not leave the house much.

I'm trading my Ibanez Jemini for a 4U rack/case with a Tc Electronics M300 Multi effects/reverb and an Alesis 3630 Compressor/gate.

I have no use for the Jemini, I bought it because I always wanted one. It cost me £70.

Now I get to ditch my pedal board but putting my EQ in a drawer in the rack and running with the stock footswitch for my 5150. Making a 2 channel switch for the Multi effects.

That's a dang fine guitar. My sis n law has a peavey sig gold top with SD pups in it. I helped her find it I'm glad she's got it....I wish I had it. Lol. Oh she paid much more but still got a good deal.

That's the best deal I've gotten too!
Except I got a floor model GT from guitarcenter.

When I ended up selling it, I had it listed for $600 for weeks with no e-mails at all. Dropped it to $550 and I got a dozen in a day.

Yup, my co-worker told me about a Dan-electro looking guitar at the local second hand store. Thinking it was probably a recent chinese RI I asked about the color. He said "brown", I said "see ya" (they didn't reissue brown ones) and off I went, going a bit faster than i should have. I ended up with a '61 Silvertone U1 for $39.95.
Another time I caught a Craigslist ad for a butchered '52 telecaster (not a RI either) for $400.00. I had the guy sent me pix (it was the middle of the night) and after seeing them I decided that I didn't want it but that he should ask way more than that. It went for $1,600 and then was fliped on ebay for around $4.5K, according to forum member J@S.

A used and (badly) modded JMP 1959 Marshall for 200 Euros - actually the first amp that I modded after I bought it. The dealer was reluctant to sell it to me because it sounded so bad. I then went and took everything out that was not on the factory schematic. When I was done it sounded like a good hot-rodded Marshall. That was back in 2001 and I still have that amp. Don't think I will let that one go.

In 2008 I bought my brand new JVM410H for $1550 out the door-not a floor model, not b-stock, etc. Came with everything in it's original packaging from Marshall. The salesman from the store I bought it (Best Buy) said that back then the JVM410H just wasn't selling, so I could have it for $1550.

No way you can buy a new JVM410H brand new from a brick and mortar store or online for that price today.
