Nice work! Interesting detailing. I assume it has a center block?

Thanks guys!

Yeah it has a center block under the pickups and the bridge.

Wood:
+ Sipo body & neck
+ Cherry top - the friend I built it for asked me to use his own wood... :)
+ Rosewood fretboard
+ Makassar headstock plate
All inlays are MOP...

Nice!

I'm on my way to convert this antique mangle to a drum sander. Paid $15 dollars for it last week :) I guess it just needs a new table and a motor to get it up and running. :fingersx:

That looks like it will be nice. Mine ain't pretty but a ran a test piece through last night and it was dead on flat, +/- .003 inches on the whole soundboard plate.

Here are some Progress shots. The Bass had a twice broken headstock. I am reusing the inlay & fretboard & building a new neck from scratch. It is a 3 piece maple(Birdseye,Flamed,Birdseye), not Mahogany. The body has been stripped of it's gawdawfull yellow paint & the neck's joint has been cut to fit the body. I haven't fully decided on the finish yet. I may have to go with a solid color or a dark trans on the body. It has quite a bit of buckle rash & a few deep dents that may not sand out.

Some wood:

Michigan Maple and Indian Rosewood bassguitar fingebroard blanks, African Mahagony (Khaya), Honduran Mahogany (EXTREMELY lightweight lol, the stuff preeb's always talking about) and Spanish Cedar. My room smells like a cigar box now, LOL

And this too:

 That's a Jazz Bass being built for a good friend, I'm cutting out the body today.

Casey the fret monkey! Casey (Greasebox) stopped by over the weekend. we drank Guinness Black Lager, and I made him pull some frets for my amusement. Then I gave him a cookie.

After I went and got a cookie, I resurrected my nylon-string cutaway crossover that has been sitting idle for a while.
