This guy used a wenge top to great effect. Dunno how it sounds but it looks stunning.man, these last posts are absolutely killing me; japanese laquer, wenge tops and powder coated hardware. my mind races! i have some great looking wenge available in 4" wide boards., but am wondering how a wenge top would sound? have you tried it yet? beautiful stuff, guys.
My first thought when anyone tells me they build guitars by hand is that they have as many or more demons than I. I don't question that about you any more.
Recently I finished this one. A Custom Standard Custom
Based on the 50s Les Paul but has a headstock volute. Equipped with three Thorn Staple GTS-90. All Honduran Mahogany, Ebony fingerboard and rainbow MOP inlays. Dispatched to England last week.
And this one is about to leave my work shop heading Italy soon. Strictly Les Paul Standard 1959 replica.
Yes, I do take orders from all over Europe....
Gorgeous! How do those pickups sound?
You do awesome work, that black les paul with the staple P90 pickups is just soo darn cool, it has to sound amazing from the looks of it, did the all mahogany black beauty have one of these and a regular p90, at any rate, that is beautiful Man!
Lars, This guitar is so incredibly sexy. I love the look of the three P-90's. This guitar reeks of great taste.
