Tuscan Pork Stew over Egg Noodles. I do 90% of the cooking (wife is too busy with alot of projects). We just bought a new dutch oven. Actually wore the enamel off the old one from use and washing. We just got the all cast iron Bobby Flay one. With a gift card and a coupon, we got it for $27 from $120+. SWEET!
I don't know if there is anything more useful to cook with than our dutch oven. I LOVE it!!
I made roasted sausage with potatoes, carrots and red onion. Mixed a sauce of chicken broth, maple syrup, oregano, dry mustard, salt and pepper.
Here's the recipe if anyone would like to try it. It's quick and tasty.....
8 Sausage links
2 large potatoes
2 large carrots
2 red onions
1/2 cp chicken broth
1 tbs honey (I was out so I used maple syrup, turned out great)
1 tbs dry mustard
1 ts oregano
salt and pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 425.
Cut veggies, add to a casserole dish. Top with sausage. Mix the remaining ingredients in a bowl. Pour over entire dish and mix to coat. Roast for about an hour turning sausage once.
Next time I'd probably use double the ingredients for the sauce. This way you can spoon some if you'd like. Mine dried up, but imparted the flavor just fine.
