I heard River now owns Greeny and is working on writing the solos for the next Metallica album with it, specifically focusing on Slashtone.

I never had a problem with River. I found his discussions to be entertaining and engaging. He was definitely like the old guy on the block who had no problem voicing his opinions loudly and telling others what he thought.
