What will happen to rock n roll? The death of Dio hit me with a realization of sorts such as who will come next when the greats such as Ozzy, Maiden, Megadeth, Metallica, Kiss, Jimmy Page, Clapton, Tony Iommi, Slash, Neil, as well as many many others die off? What will come next? Whose voice should we follow? Where it'll come from? Will all we learn from the past be forgotten or played faster till it sounds new? I even realized going to concerts that the people look different than 5 years ago no more the groupies or flash of empowering pair of boobs just a burnt out shell of the 70s with a hint of punk. What Im saying is, is it worth it to be a rock star? Plus its very uncomfortable and horrible to be in the front row standing next to a granny flashing... ugh! All in all what will happen? Will that game Rockstar replace the instruments in years to come? hopefully not. Is this the start of 2012?

I'll bring it back, but Slayer will eventually re-emerge and dominate again.. but what.. they already are.. so I just divided by zero. 2012 got nothin' on me!

We've been saying for over 50 years, "Rock and Roll is here to stay!"

The music of today's kids is Rock and Roll, to them. You aren't supposed to like it.

Let's just say this, the words "I love you" will always mean "I love you" in the english language. Music is music, what I hear today resembles music somewhat, but they're "music" has no meaning, no sense...musically...it's the equivalent of (ggfydtrdhggfvjhguiygjkhbkjuyiuhnjmhniuyiljufrsdsa) Rock n' Roll will live on through people like you and I who know what rock n' roll and music in general is truly about.

Someday someone will emerge on the guitar that will be so popular that people will use his name as internet identities just like Page and Slash. I don't think it will be any one called Stinger but I am sure it will someone who will capture the hearts of young wannabe rockers world wide. And what that means is rock and roll is gonna be around a bit longer.

Personally I don't really care--I'll keep listening to what I like.

Music changes, it goes through cycles, etc.

No one style or genre is the be all & end all.

There's always been a lot of bad music, and almost certainly will be as long as this world continues to exist.

When I taught high school the subject of Rock came up on occasions. I told the students that the generation before me gave birth to rock. My generation raised it to adulthood. Their generation left it homeless and on the street. I have no idea what that means but it always got a laugh.

That's a good one, made me laugh, and it makes sense actually.

Davy Knowles, Bonamassa, Truck's, Wolf mother, Airbourne, Black Stone, etc. Look's like a decently good future. :)

Rock N Roll was born out of the spirit of youth rebellion. It will evolve and live on

Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Bach, Chopin, Gershwin – a few dead guys, but their music isn't...

Lennon, Hendrix, SRV, Presley, Harrison, Marriott, Dio, Mercury, Gallagher, Holly, Morrison, – more dead guys , but their music isn't...

What will happen to Rock 'n' Roll? It will change and yet stay the same with peaks, valleys and canyons

Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock!
