I remember using Yahoo when they were new, before they got smart and started putting ads on the sides of the screen. I used to love their Random Site button. Used Webcrawler and Altavista. Anyone remember Hastalavista, to search for pirated software? Probably not. Now I use Google.

Webcrawler, Hotbot, Alta-Vista

Altavista had the ultimate expression "NEAR" where it would search for terms within a set number of words from each other. I really wish Google would implement that. Simply using "AND" doesn't cut it when pages have thousands of words on them. An exact phrase is too limiting sometimes.
