What pickups are in your Les Pauls ?

57 and 57+ are really the only Gibsons I like. I’ve never played custom buckers.

I tend to like Duncan. I have some Suhr Steve Aldrich in my 68’ reissue, and they are sublime. There are u limited options.

I have a pair of Peters VoOdom 59’s , out of a Les Paul for now and back in the original box, sad to hear he passed away, these are amazing winds. I wanted a set of his single coils, love what Wolfetone is winding for me now, have a few sets, marshallhead MK2 and a set of legends with the Kauer wind.

Yeah, the Florance Voodoos were the perfect match my R8 and the “tight and chewy“ bridge pickup tone in my head. Then I tried a bunch of neck pickups to find something that would go well with it. Finally decided to have Peter wind me one and it was perfect; it’s where I should have started. Now that he’s gone, his pickups go quickly for big bucks. Haven‘t tried any of Wolfe’s humbuckers, just his P90s which are the standard by which I judge all P90s.

If you americans are wondering, the Lundgren Heaven 57 is a PAF-like pickup made by Lundgren Pickups. He is a very nice swedish gentleman who winds excellent pickups.
