Hey all, just joined and looking to see if anyone is familiar with this guitar I recently won. It's beat up, but I plan on restoring it. I'm thinking its a 1997 Bacchus BLS-98. Looking online, the only black Bacchus guitars that aren't customs I see come up as a BLS-98 but can't find much info on the specs. I only see the 1998 Bacchus catalog online and it's not in that. Any Bacchus experts around wanna chime in? Thanks for any help!

Thanks Brokentoeswalker, from what I gather these are nice, but the early 2000 models are even nicer correct? Ie: Lacquer finish..

They had higher end models at this time but there were more mid grade ones i think and then yeah it seems at some point they graduated to having more higher spec guitars like one piece backs and lacquer. If that happened when they started the serials or just when abouts i'm not really too sure. I have a couple mid grades from the pre serial days myself but no L.P.'s

Never knew such an animal existed.

PLEASE darken that fretboard if at all possible.

Even during the Vintage Series years they had some lower models with poly and some higher ones with lacquer.

I agree with brokentoeswalker that if you aren't on the money with the model you are probably close.

Maybe Gammybird can ID it. I'm sure he will be along tomorrow.

haha I still need to buy another guitar to combine and save on shipping a little. lol I’ve been on a buying spree in an attempt to fix up a bunch of guitars and sell them to help pay for some keepers. I bought another no serial bacchus in better shape a few weeks ago and it really is nice for the money. These bacchus guitars seems like a great value. Thanks for the info Gammybird.

I don't have a model number but my bet is it is an early Live Road like this one and may have a slightly different routing for the neck than the later long tenon models. It will fix up nicely I am sure.
I've seen that link in my research and she is a beauty, the Bacchus I received a few days ago has that offset tenon like in those pics. I'll post it up in the Bacchus theory thread.

I haven't seen many of those with solid colours. I was watching that one too.
