Been researching chrome plated pickguards as opposed to mirrored ones, too place on a 2003 Les Paul Studio.

Allparts sells one model#PG 0800-010. However says “This pickguard will only fit genuine Gibson Les Paul Standard or Les Paul Custom models”

What is different? Would minimal modding be needed to get one to fit?

Could be they mean as opposed to Epi and Chinese copies....

Maybe they just didn't think to put it on the label.

I just bought a 2017 Studio that came with the pickguard in the case.
I just sized it up against my 82 Standard and it would fit with a slight trim on the bridge pup end. That's it. The screw holes matched too...
But honestly, it was tight when I tried it on the Studio it came with. Still in the bag new...
