Can anyone tell by listening what magnets are in famous Burst LP played by my fave guitarists such as
Page
Gibbons
Clapton
Beck
Allman
Bloomfield
Taylor
Green
I’d be interested to see what people think/ know about their guitars and what magnets contributed to their sound

Page pre 1972 was a standard paf with Alnico 2 post 1972 the bridge pickup was replaced with a t-top(Alnico 5) after his original bridge paf died or failed the t-top remained till around 1988-89 when he swapped it for a duncan and added a push pull pot to offer a mod he liked that was on his #2 Les Paul ,which oddly enough he had modded to mimic his #1 LP(before any mods to #1) by having the neck shaved ect...

According to throbak who spent a good deal of time with the Taylor burst they are apparently short magnet A2 (shorts uncommon but not unheard of in 59s).

Having been lucky enough to play the greeny burst, they did not strike me as A2, but I may be wrong.
