I liked the Wegen picks, just wish they made smaller ones.

My favorites are the V-pick lites, and a custom Vitae wood pick I had made.

Tortex .73 mm.. mostly because I found them in bulk for cheap.... a local shop ordered too many and was selling 100 of them for 10 bucks

ICE PICKS!

lol. Not really.

I use mainly green tortex Dunlops or the few yellows I have left hanging around. I find that when I start doing a lot of metronome based excercises, I'll shred the yellows fairly quickly.

I am finding that the pick guage needs to be chosen for the strings too- my Ibanez has 9 guage strings, so a heavier pick sometimes feels a bit too thick for it. The Les Paul has 10s and Strat has 11s - so heavier picks tend to be the way to go.

I also use fingers every now and then when I'm just noodling- particularly on the Strat Plus. Big strings feel nice when you use fingers. And I've been listening to a bit of Jeff Beck and Mark Knopfler recently...

Wouldn't mind trying metal picks too- just to see...

V-Picks are the only way to go (for me anyway). They never slip and actually almost stick to the fingers, so I never think about the pick. It becomes an extension of my hand. Huge tone with great articulation. My favorite is the "Screamer".

I love the new Dunlop Ultex .73 picks - I guess this would be classed as a medium.
They say they are the closest thing to real tortoise shell. They feel great though.

I use the Fender Premium 'thin' picks almost religiously.
I break them all the time and alot of people tell me it's stupid to use thin picks on an electric but I love them.

+1 on V-Picks. I like the traditional Ultra Lights. They just stick your fingers, and I've never dropped one. Great tone as mentioned.

I used to run some delrin .73, but then I got a tin of snarling dogs .73 and the little grippies on them rock to stick to my fingers.

Fingers for really emotional slower bluesy stuff and either Dunlop .96mm pinks or a strange one called a pickboy with a 'novelty' style metal disc on the front, the pick itself is about a medium (.75) but the extra mass of the disk makes them feel a little more bulky and seems to aid them in staying pretty rigid. They look like crap but everyone I've shown them to uses them now. Only problem s I only know of 1 store that sells them and I can't find them online (would like to buy a bulk pack cos they're like £1 each!!)
