Welcome to the age of the internet. Social skills have all but gone. If both pictures of you and her were legit, she should have at least stayed for a drink. Just manners....or what used to be. Now, if the pictures were bullshit on either end, in my book, that's reason enough to bounce.

I've been on some blind dates where there was zero chemistry, but we usually managed to enjoy a nice dinner and a movie. I always tried to approach a date as friendly rather than romantic, and it worked out.

Ok so here’s my first story to share from my new adventures in dating!!

I had gone on one date with a cool lady and it went well..we got along and had fun but I don’t think there was anything romantic there.

So I’ve been speaking to his other girl via Tinder *shudder* Her name is Alice and she’s a 5’2” Asian girl...really pretty and she’s been quite funny. We’ve tried to get together a few times but she’s been a bit flaky. I'm limited to my free nights as I have my daughter every 2nd week.

So we finally make a plan to go out to get a beer and chat a bit. I get to the bar early and I see there is a guy playing acoustic guitar so I’m kinda stoked. I text her to let her know and she says “I’m not into that vibe right now” so I’m a bit disappointed but whatever. We agree to meet at a coffee shop close by and grab a drink and sit in the car and chat.

So I get there and text her and she is already there so she comes up to my car and roll down the window and say “hey Alice, you’re out of your car, did you want to go in for a drink?” And she goes “ummm yeah ok” and I answer with “are you sure?” And she says “yeah, hang on one sec”

So she goes back to her car as I’m getting out of mine and I put my coat on and come around the back of my car only to watch her drive away.

I stand there with my mouth open watching her navigate through the parking lot and out onto the street.

“OK, bye.”

LOL so I check on Tinder and she has unmatched me!

So guys, I’m not the best looking guy in the world but apparently I was not good looking enough for this chick!

I text her and tell her that it’s cool if she’s not into me but it was kind of a dick move to just bounce like that. I wasn’t expected a response, but I got one. It’s a variation on “its not you; it’s me”

“I’m so sorry! You were so cute. I felt ugly.”

1) She was not ugly. In fact, she looked just like her pics and she is gorgeous.

2) huh?

So anyway, she makes some excuses and I just tell her it’s totally fine if she didn’t want to move forward, but next time just tell the poor bastard.

Also, I’m fairly certain her name is not Alice lol!

What an experience!

I’ll share any more weird stories as they come up if anyone is interested.

Don't feel bad.
It's not you, it's her.
:laugh2:

With that kind of behavior, aren't you glad she left?
I know I would be.
:thumb:

Keep them "Date Reports" coming.
That should get some interest away form the... you know, "T" threads..!

I met a girl on Plenty of Fish a couple years back. Let's call her Laurie, cause that's her name. First date was a swing and a homerun. Endless text messages after that. Seriously 50-75 a day. If I didn't reply immediately she would get all kinds of crazy and just rant on and on and on. Each message getting nuttier. About every 10 messages she would be apologizing for previous texts. I work nights which she didn't like. I have a rule for my employees, no phones on the job. To set an example I left mine in the van too. She would just completely melt down, come to my house and sleep in her car till I got home. She did this many times. Finally I stopped waking her up. My landlord would knock on my door in the morning and say that crazy chick is in the driveway again. I was never rude or disrespected her. She knew she had some problems. Eventually she kinda moved on. Wanna hear about her 19yo gun collecting son?

Tinder and POF for hookups. Match for a "little" better class of dating.

Shred I'm getting mixed messages from you. Are you trying to get laid or looking for a relationship?

Baggage.... We all have it. And for most of us, it starts with that Imaginary Inner Critic Peer Group. And then there's a whole bunch of other modules we can get too! LOL

And don't forget PC.... Which makes most beyond afraid to take personal interest in other's lives. Talk about deal ending!

The list is endless.

But we gotta help Shred.... well.....SHRED!

My brother stuck his net too deep in the crazy pond. It took him 20+ years to recover from that.

Now he is single with 3 kids, but they are all better off, than they were with that Satan spawn.

I'm sure those "pretty ladies" are bots or Instagram whores....

She was probably offended you didn’t invite her to get in your car. Why was she at your window anyway?
I mean you already met online she was probably just offended you didn’t bang her in the car right there and ran away embarrassed.

Lmfao good riddance.

What was the story with #1 no romance? Was she an Ugger?

Could be. I find just pulling up in front of them, popping the trunk and tossing them in works as a nice howdy do.

I'm a little late to the game but keep your chin up, man. This day in age odds are way up that she was packing an impressive hog. Unless that's your thing you're probably better off.
