What is this thing?

I went and saw Cheap Trick tonight, and Neilsen played this single-pickup LP with what looks like a Tele selector switch.

Anybody know what it is? I've never seen an LP like that before.

Gibson will build whatever the superstar client can envision as long as it fits in the guitar line that they currently produce (they will not build a tele of course) but funky options on Les Pauls sure.

Yep. He played it tonight, along with the Hamer 'grandfather' (the one that's a cartoon version of him), the 'Rockford' guitar (ugly square yellow thing that looks like the album cover), the Hamer Explorer, a Beatles-finished guitar (from when they did 'Sgt. Pepper' at the Hollywood Bowl, I think), and even a Billy Bo.

That's right. Someone like him can have whatever he likes! Apparently he has a massive guitar collection which includes some very rare Gibsons...
