Thanks for a lot of the responses! Does anyone know what it could be? What is up with that fretboard? It looks like someone tried to paint it black......I emailed the guy and haven't heard back. I want to check this badboy out, haha!

Looks like a homebuild guitar. The used materials appear to be good quality, so might be its not a bad quality guitar. Smaller details are sloppy tho.

I don't think it's a legit gibson myself.

Weird details with weird parts and so on, stay clear I say...

Back of the headstock looks wrong to me. Also, no photos of the serial number (if it has one) which is always a red flag.

If you read the ad, it says there isn't a serial number, which is a huge red flag to me. I somehow doubt that Gibson made a guitar without a serial number.

headstock front is seriously messed up, Gibson script looks too jagged, pup routs are weird, electronics are weird, pickup spacing is too close, rear headstock to neck transition is too flat, neck heel is flat, fretboard looks like it was poured on from a melting candle, inlays look too good..lol, no serial, tuners have no writing on back...

Maybe it's a kit with some ebayed parts? Looks like some things are spot on, but most of it is just a hair off.

I think it could possibly have started life as a real Gibson. A real bad neck break fix up could explain the wierd things on the front an back of the headstock. No clue on the pickups, etc. Very strange that it would have nibs.

I wonder where he got the top half of the headstock veneer from...

Exactly. Looks like a join on the front of the head at the E tuning pegs with no corresponding break on the back of the headstock. Also a very odd neck to headstock transition

i just posted another thread about the same guitar.

I've been talkin to the guy for a while about other stuff, and, I don;t think he;s trying to rip anybody off, I think he, and a few other guys, bid up something without really knowing what they were bidding on.
