What is The Most Expensive Guitar You Own?

I spent so many thousands on one production LP replacing every bit of hardware on it multiple times and trying every pickup under the sun to get the thing to sound the way I wanted to, it easily cost me around what a R8 ML ultralight/light aged would today. Of course all that extra was spent over a few years, but it still ended up on the chopping block.

My most expensive ever was a USA Dean ML Time Capsule custom shop.

Most expensive I own now is this one.

2008 Gibson LP Standard Plus - Iced Tea Burst - 7.4 lbs.
Purchased 2010. I have seen some of these listed at about the original street price or a bit lower.
One was a 'Root Beer Burst' in 'Used - Mint' condition for 1800 American.

2011 Gibson Lou Pallo - Ebony - 9.9 lbs. - Online auction. Purchased 2015. Only 400 made world wide. There is one in 'Used - Excellent' condition on Reverb selling for 8K. Signed by Lou Pallo.
Found another for 4K, 'Used - Good'. I believe they were 2,800 American new. There is at least
one other MLP member who also owns one.

Define “expensive”. I have a REAL 1961 LP SG Standard with original HSC which I bought new in November 1961. I hear tell that it (in as near mint condition as it could be, in its case since then ) is worth $15K to $20K now. But the I paid about $350 for it new then. Is this my most expensive guitar I have? If not, my newer buys have been less than $1K for guitars that are more playable to me.

If jo adjust for inflation your $350 is about $3500 today. So it would still be your most expensive guitar you have

I don't have expensive guitars. Just nice ones. My 95 Les Paul Std was under 1400 new.

Not an LP- But a one of a kind, Private stock Wood Library PRS, Signed, numbered and certified. Solid Rosewood neck and Cocbolo fretboard. Even the back of this thing looks awesome- figured African Mahogany.

(Although I also have a Stratocaster signed by 5 of the Shadows.)
