jesus fuck, you'd think if they were trying to sell a 300K guitar that they could afford to turn some goddam fucking lights on and illuminate the fucker better than that. Those pictures are almost as bad as shitty CL pics. And use a ligher color backdrop. What fucking workingman can afford a 300K guitar, I want that job.

seriously Carter Vintage, can't you do better than that?

You're not wrong, that's some seriously unflattering lighting, and not the greatest pics either. I think they'll have to drop it a fair bit below $290,000 to get it moved.

29 Murphy Labs would be a better deal me thinks.

For the OP's question. double zero means the early serial sequence for a '59 spec 1960 Standard. Of course with all the changes.....refinish.... rewound pups...and a rather plain top....there isn't much that is '59 spec. Knobs maybe?

That guitar must have been sitting in Courtney Love's living room for the last 25 years with her 5 pack a day cigarette habit.

Oh don’t worry, some techno-zit who doesnt play but has made $1b in the fixed stock market will decide this is just the thing to adorn the wall of one of his 7 homes.

I was in Nashville this week and saw it in person yesterday. There’s a reason the lighting sucks in those photos, that’s all I’ll say about it. You will want to look in person before dropping 2x my house’s value on it.

At that price it should have a new Porsche turbo in it, not rewounds.
