I had my 07 Standard GOTW 34 on that stand with no protection.
Picked it up to play, noticed a black, horizontal, hair width line right below the neck base on the back, and it wont come out. I was flipping screaming, yelling, jumping up and down pissed off. should have payed a little more attention to the "guitar stand" theads on this forum. live & learn
