no changes were made to the LP in those years (though maybe some off the late 55s had the ABR, but its attributed to the 56.

+1! Would've been fun to see how many '54 Customs and Oxbloods there are on this forum compared to the '54 GTs. Same goes for the '57 Customs Vs. the GTs and the regular R0s Vs. the G0s..

I just got a 2007 VOS R8 in faded tobacco, on Friday. I can safely say it's the best guitar I've ever played.
