a lot of the other sites have a thread like this, I couldn't find one here so I'm starting one. I already posted about my trade last week, a Les Paul for a Stratocaster. This week, I got a call from my Sweetwater rep, the Warm Audio Centavo pedal had arrived, I said yes, and got it yesterday.

It's advertised as a faithful replica of a Klon. I have zero Klon experience so I can't verify how close it is. I can say that it has serious huevos and it is a very transparent overdrive. I need to experiment some more with it. I have an amp with an effects loop, and I've never plugged anything into a loop before. Even with the gain turned up to about 2:30, my pickups still sounded like themselves.

Some people took umbrage at the enclosure mimicing the Klon, I couldn't care less.

I am finally trying the Stringjoy brand. Found a set of their pure nickel Broadways 10's I'm going to try out on the R8.

NOT for the the R8, a bottle of Dunlop's formula 65 cleaner/polish to knock the slime off some poly finished metal guitars. The last bottle was probably a decade plus old, the new one smells better for sure.

Love it. I had a MiM Strat like that but with a rosewood board and it was awesome. I miss that guitar.

I just picked up another Boss Katana today. I have a 100 that I use in the band but that lives in the rehearsal space. Was kicking around guitar denter today with a gift card in my pocket and decided to snag a 50 for home practice use. With the birthday money I got out the door for less than $100.

Also I was pleased to see they still had squier strats and teles in the $150 range. I always check out the beginner stuff. It continues to amaze me how much better it is now than the plywood garbage that was around when I started.

i have put an OD in the loop, works good. I now have a Chase tone pre amp permanently in the loop now.
