For humbuckers? Nothing beats a Scarab Deluxe IME. My favorite fuzz hands down - a modern classic. It even plays nice in front of my metal panel marshall that is a dirrrrrrrrrrrty amp.

For fender single coils I prefer a nicely tuned germanium fuzz face.

I sold a late 70's Big Muff when time got hard. To my ears the modern one sounded just as good so it was first to go. I have a Hendrix Fuzz Face and a Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face in the copper finish. I like the Fuzz Face, I like how 'amp like' the sustain is. I also have a Joyo Voodoo Octave, which from what I understand is more like a Super Fuzz. Awesome sound. I also have a ProCo Rat, but I consider it more a distortion than a fuzz. I plan on re-entering the Big Muff world soon.

none. tried to get into them but I couldn't. I had a fuzz bear that I loved, but could not get on with that nasty oscillation thing it had going on, but I loved the way it sounded. think it was based off an mkIII? if anyone has any suggestions similar to this, i'm all ears. prefer a meatier fuzz, as opposed to a 'fuzzier' fuzz.

Fulltone Octafuzz. The octave switch is broken though so it's a regular fuzz. I used it that way most of the time anyway.

I have a few fuzzes but right now on my board is a Death By Audio Apocalypse fuzz and a Supersonic Fuzz Gun. Both are great pedals. The Apocalypse is more versatile and can dail in some killer sounds. The sound I bought the Apocalypse for was too similar to how I have the Supersonic Fuzz Gun setup so I experimented and found a little more mellow setting on the Apocalypse that I use. I would say both pedals cost too much but also I would be 100% willing to pay the same amount again.

Wampler Velvet Fuzz, probably because I don't think it sounds like a typical fuzz pedal. I've got it set as a low-gain overdrive, and then I run either a KTR or a Brit Blue Drive in front of it to fatten the tone a little.

I have had my Fulltone '69 for more than 20 years. It's my absolute favorite pedal, by I have to say that I mostly use fuzz pedals with single cool guitars. It rarely gets use when I'm playing my Les Paul.

I also have the big teal Hendrix fuzz face, which is also awesome. I don't like it as much as the '69, but it has more fuzz on tap than the 69, which is nice sometimes.

I've just sold off most of my fuzz pedals in the last month or so. I only kept a few. Right now the Throbak Stonebender is still sitting on my big / gigging board. For me, the tonebender circuit works best with humbuckers.

EarthQuaker Devices Hoof. Love it!

Yeh - I have one of these and concur that it's a great fuzz! I have a "full size" Big Muff Pi which sounds amazing but it's just too big for anything like the size of board I'd be happy to cart around so the Hoof is much more 'board friendly too.

I have a Wampler Velvet Fuzz on the way this week. I finally broke down with that one. All my other fuzz pedals have their own unique tone. I don't hear that many pedals close to the Boss FZ-2 Hyper Fuzz I have. The Bearinger clone is nice but I feel it generates a bit more noise, when I've heard it on demos. The tone is cool however.

For fuzz I currently use the MXR La Machine. As with all fuzzes, I have an overdrive and distortion in front of it for optimum awesomeness. The La Machine is crazy great and reminds me a lot of the 1990s Danelectro Fab Tone in its over-the-top saturation.

When I first bought a Fuzz, I didn't know if I needed one.
Now, I don't know how I ever got along without one.
It's a Ge Fuzz face, but I'll use it with either the Strat or LP. With HB's, it really sounds cool going into the Beano. I seldom do that with the Strat. Doesn't need it.
