I don't have a lot of knowledge how and where the various Les Pauls are built. I know they have a few US factories, one being the custom shop and one being where the bulk of the guitars are made. So, I'm sure you guys would know and I'm very interested. Thanks!

Thanks so much for posting that, I've been stomping around these parts for a while and never took the time watch a factory tour video. It truly is a complicated process and you can see where all the money you've spent goes. It gave me a whole new level of respect for the company, and the way they go about their routine. Thanks again.

Gibson USA - Massman dr. Nashville, TN - The original Nashville facillity. Some of the vets call this the "Electric" plant. Although Acoustics were made here for a period of time. The Custom shop started inside this facility as well. Non-Historic models are made here.

Gibson Custom Shop - Elm Hill Pike, Nashville TN - This is the newest location for the Custom Shop. It used to be on Massman drive next to the Epiphone Building which is next to the Gibson USA plant. Now making Bluegrass instruments too.

Gibson Memphis - - Memphis, TN - Mostly ES production is here, but in the past, they also made LP Customs, and a ton of Gibson USA Studios when they first opened.

Gibson Montana - Bozeman, MT - The Acoustic guitar plant.

Gibson Gear - Grundy St, Nashville, TN - Strings and accessories. This used to be the "Baldwin" building.

Gibson Restoration/Entertainment Relations - Chruch St, Nashville, TN - This used to be the "Valley Arts" building, and once housed a Gibson retail store. Originally this building housed the Bluegrass division before moving to the Opry Mills Mall.

Is any of the factories open for public tours?

I've seen that link but the thread was started years ago, the Gibson tour page doesn't exist anymore, and all the recent posts are videos of the factory, but does not say whether a member of the public can just show up at one of the plants and sign up for a tour today.

I have toured the production shop a few times over the years. The one thing that surprised me is how small the place is & how few employees worked there. Just handling USA demand seemed like a lot of work. Let alone the rest of the world

It wouldn't surprise me if some of the lower end USA models were cut in Asia and then shipped back to the US for assembly.
