What does your Workbench look like?

I was wondering what the workbenches around here look like. I am currently using a steel base that I picked up for free with an MDF top. I'm tired of fighting a flimsy top.

Anyone care to show off your workspace as inspiration to others? Overall dimensions would be great too.

Anyone have the "Ultimate Luthier's Workbench"? Show it off here.

Thanks for the shots guys. Perhaps I need to clarify...

I'm looking to design and build myself a new workbench and I need some setup ideas for what works and what doesn't work.

Well when I first started out I used one of those folding metal black and decker tables that you could tighten a work piece in,sometimes putting a thick board on top for more work space. It was actually adequate...

...building one,I don't have exact measurments cause it depends on shop size, but high enough so you don't have to lean over too much,a shelf underneath for tools(helps with bracing) and as large and well constructed as possible. Also something that you can easily remove the top after it becomes worn.

My dream table will be one of those center island of shop type tables with drawers underneath.

My assembly bench is a 4'x8' table in the center of my shop. It's usually full of shit and I end up working on one little corner.

Here's my main work area. I do use several benches around the shop, but this is my 'nest' :laugh2:
