I saw this for the first time today over at Rondo. It looks like a Les Paul, Jr. with a Telecaster bridge, bridge p/u and controls. Rather tempted here. If it came in TV Yellow or Butterscotch, she'd be on a UPS truck headin' for home right now!

Damn, lookin' at her again, I'm tempted all the more. Curse you GAS!

Okay, okay...I must admit I've never seen the Fano. I don't get out of my cave much, kids.

Still, I like the Rondo version.

-Didn't mean to sound demeaning. Sorry bro! I just new I'd seen that same setup recently in the P-90's Club (I think) thread. I wouldn't have known myself if it weren't for that. I certainly prefer the Rondo version's price! And I'm glad you brought it to my attention. Get me one while you're out, would you? :thumb:

OP: I really like it. Seems marketable and like something you need at least once in a collection.

Congrats!

yeah, I dont think FANO really gets the credit for that. nor Rondo.

Theres a local builder, been making low end good sounding guitars out of Fl. Knotty Pine *home depot brand mind you)

and every axe he can, he puts a tele brifdger and pup on. sometimes a hummer or P90, sometimes 2 single coils

PLUS using the prewired tele controls saved him a lot as well.

If you wanted a single solid color and the simple control set (3way or 5 wat swiatcj your choiuce) you could get out with almost ANY of the standard flat top shapes for under $150

and his strats sounded really nice adnd were as light as a feather!

everything from there was an upgrade, he always said that 4 POTSrarely looked good so ofteb he wouyld stick w/ 2 and a push pull.

unfortunately he had a family emergencu that tooik him away from his bench for a few months and w/ zero communications people started to talk (as people will do) and he didny handl;e it very well upon return.

still some great simple guitars with a great simple axe.
