Hey everyone. I have a really quick question for all you LP fanatics here.

I've heard that the Gibson Les Paul Studio Lite is/was known to be a good lightweight LP. And I think that the Studio Lite was manufactured back in the 90s, and have long been discontinued.

So here's my question-

What colors did the LP Studio Lite come in when they were still being produced?

I've searched the internet, and I could only find these ones in cherry sunburst.

Can any LP historians here help me out?

I used to have a white one, and I've seen a ton of blue ones on this forum.

Also, vintage sunburst, black, and though I've never seen one LedLover says he had a white one.

Mine's tobacco sunburst. I can't tell any difference between Tobacco and Vintage bursts, but they called it tobacco when I bought it.

Rather than open a new thread with same title... let me add a wrinkle.

Post a pic of your LP Studio Lite. Also, any other info that might be helpful.

Thank you MLP...

Mine is an '88 and it is black. The only other color back then was white, I believe.

It's all original with the stock Mini-humbuckers, three position switch and the coil-tap switch. This is the stock setup for these early Lites. Here is a pic of the control cavity for your viewing pleasure. All original.

I had one on layaway too back in 95, trans blue with black chrome hardware. Then I saw that a brand new 5150 head was only 559 and the guitar was 749.99 I flipped the layaway to the head. Always on the lookout for a trans blue one as well as a 91 ebony studio....

Transblue Studio Lite with Rio Grande pickups and chrome hardware (and a plug where a miniswitch used to be, I guess).

In normal light it tends to be much darker, but it really pops in the sun.
